A cornerstone of our Associate engagement is our recognition culture. At JCPenney, we believe recognition is about positive feedback, support and involvement, personal praise, manager availability, and a feeling of appreciation and value every single day. We encourage all Associates to participate in recognition.

Our recognition culture is fueled through Company initiatives such as individual recognition awards, recognition “gear” including lapel pins and medallions, e-cards that can be easily sent to direct reports and co-workers, and even a Web site that offers recognition principles, tips and best practices, as well as a complete listing of Company programs.

We are dedicated to acknowledging our Associates for contributing to the success of our business goals. Recognition serves a key role in our annual WINNING TOGETHER survey. By giving Associates the recognition they deserve, we know they’ll produce the results we need.
